At Psychiatric Medical Associates, P.A. (PMA Plano), our mission is to provide personalized, high quality care to our patients in a friendly, relaxed atmosphere. We also believe in educating our patients as we work with them to achieve the best result possible.

PMA was created to provide the highest possible level of psychiatric care for adults and children. PMA’s healthcare providers are committed to providing an integrated approach to pharmacotherapy that allows all patients to benefit from a range of services that will best suit their unique needs. We work with your primary care physician and/or therapist to provide comprehensive care.

Services

PMA provides complete mental health services for children, teen, and adult patients, from diagnosis, prevention, treatment, medication management, and therapy. We offer both telehealth and in-person appointments.

Psychiatric Services

We provide psychiatric evaluation and ongoing treatment, including medication management, for your whole family.

Therapy

PMA offers in-house psychotherapy by our highly experience licensed psychologist Peter Thomas, PhD, as well as referrals to trusted, compassionate therapists.

Peter Thomas, PhD

LICENSED PSYCHOLOGIST

Peter Thomas, PhD is a well-respected licensed psychologist. He received his doctorate in counseling psychology from the University of North Texas. He has worked extensively with inpatient and outpatient clients in the north Texas area since 1995.  Read his full bio here.
